Dr. Nelson Poon.

Nelson is a Clinical Examiner and a Clinical Lecturer at King’s College Dental Institute, University of London, where he also teaches Aesthetic Dentistry and Prosthodontology on their Masters Degree programmes.
He qualified at King’s College, London. He gained his Masters Degree in the specialist field of Prosthodontics from Guy’s, King’s and St.Thomas’ Dental Institute. This field of dentistry is of particular relevance to modern cosmetic treatment of broken down or missing teeth.
He set up the liaison between the Respiratory Medicine Department of King’s College Hospital and the Dental Institute at King’s College London (Denmark Hill site) to treat those patients suffering from snoring problems who could be treated with dental appliances. He lectures in this field at King’s College London.
Nelson is a keen cook and spends many happy hours of his spare time in his kitchen, indulging his hobby.

Dr. Helen Poon.

Helen qualified at King’s College, London and was subsequently selected for the most competitively sought after staff post in the Departments of Oral Surgery and Paedodontics (children's dentistry). During her time there she gained valuable experience in treating referred complex oral surgical and paedodontic cases that were beyond the scope of general practitioners.
Dr. Poon has undertaken postgraduate training in North America and Switzerland, particularly in the fields of Prosthodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry. These disciplines are relevant to the cosmetic treatment of missing teeth and smile makeovers.
She has a very relaxed and friendly manner, which helps to put even the most anxious people at their ease.
Helen enjoys reading and swimming, as well as making time to do Yoga and Pilates.

Mohsin Ali Mughal.
Mohsin joined us just prior to our relocation to our present site. He trained as a Dental Hygienist at the Military School of Dental Hygiene, Aldershot and was awarded Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2012. Mohsin has served for 14 years in the Royal Army Dental Corps. He experienced various roles in the Army such as Dental Management, Dental Hygienist, member of the Dental Software testing team, Diversity Army Recruitment, Community Engagement, working with the Army’s Equality and diversity team and was involved in projects with national security.
He has undertaken the additional qualification of a BSc (Hons) degree in Dental Studies, which has deepened his knowledge in the treatment of patients with periodontal disease. His reassuring manner and motivational skills help to win over anxious patients and to bring about improvements in their oral health. Mohsin is a caring character who takes his professional work seriously. His quiet demeanour belies an excellent sense of humour, which has very much enriched the happy atmosphere at our practice.
He has recently moved to Tunbridge Wells with his young family. He likes to find time to play cricket and squash.

Poppy qualified as a hygienist at King's College, London in 2004. She has a keen interest in long term prevention of gum disease. In 2014 she was a finalist in the national "hygienist of the year" award. This included a nomination for best treatment of nervous patients. She has postgraduate training in, amongst other things, teaching, anaesthetics and tooth whitening.
Outside of work she is a volunteer community first responder with South East Coast ambulance service. She has a qualifications in first aid and life support.
As a keen horsewoman, Poppy has achieved level 3 in her Parelli natural horsemanship training too. In her spare time she will either be horse riding or dog walking over the fields and woods close to where she lives in Kent.

Cinzia was one of our first dental nurses when The Calverley Dental Practice started in 1995. She then moved to the West Country with her husband and young family. They have recently returned to Kent and we have been only too happy to have her re-join our team.
Cinzia is an examiner in the qualifying examinations for dental nurses in the U.K. She has a wealth of experience in her field, working directly with consultant Maxillofacial surgeons in hospitals as well as in specialist Orthodontic practice.
She is a keen runner and enjoys cooking treats for her young family.

Tracey joined The Calverley Dental Practice just before we relocated to our present site. She has a wide experience of working within different types of practices during her time working with a dental nurse agency and we are very pleased that she felt that ours was the type of friendly, happy practice that she could work at on a permanent basis.
Her passions include horse riding, taking her two pugs on long walks and the theatre.

Linda has been with us since the beginning! Her patient, quiet efficiency helps the practice to run as smoothly as it does. She brings a great deal of experience to her job, having been a qualified dental nurse years before formal qualification was the norm.
She enjoys running, gardening and keeping in contact with her young grand-children half way across the world.

Juliette joined us having recently moved into the area. She is calm, very capable and endlessly helpful. Her wide experience in nursing includes an additional qualification in radiology.
Her ready smile and cheerful personality is a very welcomed addition to our team. She spends her spare time decorating her new house, going on long walks and swimming.

Carol is one of our longest serving team members. She will have been one of the helpful faces our patients have come across at reception over the years. Her passion for literature has led to many interesting discussions with our patients on all things bookish in the waiting room!
She is an active supporter of numerous animal welfare charities.
Vicky has joined our Reception team just prior to our re-location. Her cheerful and helpful personality has been much appreciated by the team as well as by our patients.
In her spare time, Vicky enjoys expressing her musicality by singing in her band which performs at weddings and Christmas parties.
Jane has been one of our excellent dental nurses for many years. She has now shortened her working week, changing her focus to work as one of the reception team and to take on additional administrative duties.
Jane has enjoyed handicrafts for many years and has plans to set up workshops where she can pass on her considerable skills.
